The project provides an improved working and training environment to control and oversee air traffic. The new facility accommodates 25 personnel and provides state-of-the-art equipment to accomplish its mission. The facility is a 10-story structure, approximately 31.1 meters in height, containing 627 gross square meters. The design for the main tower is a rectangular shaft of precast concrete.
The new tower design accommodates 54 square meters of floor area at the cab level and is located 36 meters above ground level. The air traffic control tower consists of a shaft of structural precast concrete inset between precast concrete columns at each corner.
