Garver continues to provide services at America's largest summer camp
When the site of an annual youth camp experienced rapid growth, Garver was there to help update its water treatment systems. Garver designed and oversaw the installation of a new advanced membrane water treatment plant, which replaced the Falls Creek Baptist Conference Center’s old slow sand filter treatment plant that had been in place since the 1960s. The new plant is capable of treating the maximum daily demand for the campground’s expected population at full utilization, and contains several membrane modules, which in turn contain thousands of membrane fibers made from a durable chlorine-resistant polymer. Working on the project from beginning to end, Garver had a hand in the engineering report, design, construction, start-up, and production of operations and maintenance manuals to assist operations with the new technology.
