Securing investments and clearance for water storage
To improve water reliability and flexibility, the City of Celina, Texas contracted Garver to design and oversee construction of a new ground storage tank (GST). So the City could secure the investment necessary for the new GST, our team coordinated with Blais & Associates and the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation for a Drought Response Program Grant to meet the specific grant program requirements and obtain clearance from the Texas State Historic Preservation Office. We also conducted a hydraulic modeling analysis and coordinated with Upper Trinity Regional Water District to identify the hydraulic grade line, evaluate tank height options, and integrate the new tank with the City’s distribution system for the average, max, and peak demands. Garver also evaluated the tank and system water quality, and through CFD modeling incorporated a custom design mixing system.
