Permit modifications for a favorable biological system
Garver prepared a Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) permit renewal and minor amendment for the Clear Lake City Water Authority’s (CLCWA) Robert T. Savely Water Reclamation Facility, which has a peak two-hour flow of 31 MGD. The permit renewal included modifications to the use of chlorine, hypochlorite, sodium bicarbonate, and polymer within the facility to improve operational flexibility and maintain a safe working environment while supporting future growth. These modifications to the permit will help operators maintain a favorable biological system and reduce or eliminate costs associated with filter biofouling.
