Kilgore Surface WTP HSPS

Modeling a water system to determine improvements

The City of Kilgore, Texas selected Garver to develop a distribution system hydraulic model to determine the required upgrades at the Kilgore Surface Water Treatment Plant (KSWTP) High Service Pump Station (HSPS). The model will size new pumps for upgrades to the KSWTP HSPS, which is a critical component that is in danger of failing.

Garver developed a calibrated water distribution system model to simulate improvements to the HSPS, as well as a proposed high service pump station to be installed at the Laird Hill Storage Facility. Following the modeling phase, a modeling report will be developed to document the requirements for the upgrades to the KSWTP HSPS. In addition, a conceptual level cost opinion will be developed for the recommended improvements at the KSWTP HSPS to allow for future capital improvement planning.
