Mountain Home WWTP Improvements

Improving operations through advanced technologies

Garver provided professional design services for improvements to the City of Mountain Home’s Wastewater Treatment Plant in Arkansas. The new aerobic digester has two floating aerators, with a new sludge pump station, new electrical gear, new yard piping, and associated site improvements to the new digester. As part of the sludge dewatering improvements, Garver designed a new sludge dewatering screw press and a new sludge screw conveyor. The building was expanded to add a new electrical room and a polymer storage/feed room to meet building code while also improving access for operations and maintenance. The existing facility was rehabilitated with new ventilation and heating, new insulation, and corrosion-resistant coatings. Garver submitted final plans to the Arkansas Department of Health and the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality in preparation of a construction permit.
