Optimizing system expansion to improve service
Garver assisted Sharyland Water Supply Corporation (SWSC) with the development of a water system master plan. This master plan included water demand analysis, field investigations, detailed hydraulic models and GIS database, updates to its nitrification action plan (NAP), and a revised total coliform rule (RTCR) sampling plan.
SWSC expressed a strong desire to improve the level of service regarding distribution system pressure by maintaining pressures near the optimal range and reducing challenges associated with both low- and high-pressure areas. Garver coordinated with SWSC to identify spatial distribution of projected population growth and potential service area extensions that may impact the system expansion and prioritization within the capital improvements plan.
