Greathouse joins Garver’s Transportation Team in Houston

As Transportation Team Leader, Brian Greathouse will expand Garver’s transportation services even further into Texas.

With the recent addition of Brian Greathouse, PE, as a Transportation Team Leader in Houston, Garver continues to strengthen its impact in Texas.

Greathouse comes to Garver with over 20 years of experience in civil engineering management and design, floodplain studies, inundation mapping, hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling, storm sewer design, regional reservoir design, flood control structures, hydrodynamic modeling, and GIS. He has been involved in the management, design, and construction of numerous stormwater projects and has extensive experience related to drainage design and impact analysis for transportation projects. He has served as the drainage project manager for some of the largest transportation projects completed in Texas, including design-build projects exceeding $800 million.

From Houston, Greathouse will take the reins in building a team of local experts delivering innovative solutions for transportation infrastructure to Houston and surrounding areas. Greathouse and his team will be backed by Garver’s full suite of transportation services, which includes designs for bridges, highways, traffic, municipal streets, pedestrian facilities, urban planning, and more, while working with the Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) various districts, the City of Houston, surrounding municipalities, and the Harris County Flood Control District.

In this role, Greathouse will leverage the many relationships he’s built across the industry during his decade in Texas.

“I was drawn to Garver because of the resources, the people, the feel, the sense of community, and the growth,” said Greathouse. “That positivity was something that I wanted to be a part of and know that it can continue to make a considerable impact on Houston and the rest of Texas.”

Along with his engineering management, design and analysis expertise, he has significant experience conducting vulnerability assessments, benefit cost analysis, hazard mitigation projects, and acquisition of funding for critical infrastructure.

In joining Garver’s Houston office, Greathouse will build on Garver’s growing presence in the country’s fourth largest city. Open in Houston for more than a decade, Garver’s Aviation, Water and Wastewater, and Construction Services teams have assisted communities throughout Southeast Texas, while working with clients like TxDOT, City of Houston, Houston Airport System, and more.

“Brian has the relationships and understands the needs of our clients,” said Garver Texas Transportation Director Glenn Gregory, PE. “He’s worked locally in the Houston market and in at least 20 districts across Texas, so he brings a wealth of experience and resources to Garver that will help us continue to provide impactful services to our clients across Texas.”
