New ARFF Facilities

Garver provided design services for a new aircraft rescue and firefighting facility at the Goliad Out-Lying Field NAS Corpus Christi. The design-build project also included airfield improvements to support training and operations for the new T-6 aircraft. The 9,900-square-foot certified LEED Gold facility features a three-bay 5,500-square-foot apparatus building for the firefighting vehicles and equipment, and a 4,400-square-foot residential and office wing to accommodate a crew of six. The airfield improvements required Garver to inspect two 8,000-by-150-foot runways, parallel/connector taxiways, and aircraft apron for pavement deficiencies and provide recommendations for necessary repairs.
