To celebrate Garver’s 100th year, 100 schools received chain reaction STEM kits from the engineering firm and were invited to compete in the Garver Chain Reaction Challenge. Schools were challenged to build a Rube Goldberg-style chain reaction machine that accomplishes a menial task in a complicated way.
As one of 100 schools invited to compete in the Garver Chain Reaction Challenge, the Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired was named the #GarverChainReaction Grand Champion.
Garver announced nine winners of the Chain Reaction Challenge, all of which will receive additional funding for their school’s STEM programs.
