Lighting is an important asset for public and private entities, but few light owners have documented asset management plans to effectively manage the lifecycle of these assets. Lights should be monitored regularly to ensure the amount of light output is sufficient for the purpose. For instance, certain types of roads, pedestrian crosswalks, and locations on highways require certain amounts of light for safety. When the amount of light output from a lamp drops below 70% of its required design, that light is technically out of compliance.

As many light owners are moving to LEDs for energy efficiency and longevity, proper lighting assessment and maintenance becomes even more important. This is because LEDs have long life spans, but they also degrade slowly where the eye is unable to detect this lower amount of light output.

Easy Collection

Lumitracker was developed to be easy to use. Existing devices on the market are hand-held and do not automatically store your data. This makes assessing light output difficult and time consuming, which means it doesn’t get done. We designed Lumitracker to be installed on any standard hitch and with the ability to collect data at speeds up to 65mph. This means, you can drive to collect data instead of walk!

Lumitracker includes an assessment dashboard to visually display your collected data. We have designed the dashboard to include metrics important to you. For instance, the amount of “passing” and “failed” lights, and the estimated budget needed for replacements. This makes your data actionable.

Accurate Data

Accurate Data

Lumitracker provides you accurate data about the amount of light on your drive path. We utilize three strategically placed photometric sensors to collect the light you’re interested in while avoiding other light sources like headlights and taillights. Additionally, we can collect up to 10HZ (10 readings per second) to ensure minimal data gaps.
