Garver’s Fayetteville, Arkansas Aviation Design Center is looking for a project manager to join our diverse, skilled design team. The Airfield Design Center Project Manager will have the opportunity to manage the design of complex, large, multiyear projects throughout the United States. Some representative projects include: runway extensions for Trans-Atlantic flights, utilizing Styrofoam pavement sections in challenging geotechnical situations, and terminal extensions at major commercial airports. The Airfield Design Center Project Manager will be supported in their efforts by an accountable, organized staff of experienced aviation civil engineers, electrical engineers, hydrological modeling specialists, and CAD technicians. This position is suited to technically savvy engineers who thrive on collaborating with colleagues to create lasting, quality infrastructure.
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Project management of aviation design projects for commercial service and general aviation airports
- Construction administration and oversite for aviation clients
- Collaborate and coordinate with multi-disciple design engineers and technicians
- Provide outstanding client service
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- 8+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably with aviation project experience
- Responsive and consistent in communications
- Proficient in design software Packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, aviation specialty programs
- Travel will be required with occasional overnight stays.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience working with a multi-disciplined team while overseeing project execution
- Experience in managing construction projects at airports
- Licensed pilot or other aviation-related experience
