Garver is seeking a Civil Designer or CAD Technician for our Huntsville, Alabama office to assist in planning, design, and construction documents development on a variety of transportation and general civil engineering projects. Additional assignments may involve conceptual/preliminary site layouts, quantity computations, cost estimates, multi-discipline coordination, and as-built drawings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- An Associate’s degree or higher in drafting, design, or surveying, or combination of relevant coursework and drafting experience
- 1+ years of related drafting experience in roadway or highway projects
- 1+ years experience with OpenRoads
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Understanding and application of drafting methods, standards, and procedures
- Working knowledge of drafting/design software and MS Office Products
Preferred Skills
- 3+ years experience with OpenRoads or similar programs
- Willingness to travel periodically and as needed in the course of execution of projects
