Garver, a multi-disciplined and ENR Top 500 engineering firm and consistent recipient of “Best Place to Work” awards, seeks an experienced Survey CAD Technician to join our team in Huntsville, AL office. This candidate would be responsible for converting field survey data into accurate and comprehensive CAD drawings, ensuring project compliance with industry standards and client specifications. This role requires proficiency in MicroStation, Inroads, AutoCAD and a strong understanding of land surveying principles. Responsibilities will also involve gathering data, assistance with reproduction, quantity computations and cost estimates with guidance and supervision.
This position will work alongside experienced design engineers and project managers, in a fast-paced, high- performing and professional work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of MicroStation and/or Auto CAD drafting and design software
- Working knowledge of Bluebeam or other PDF editor
- Working knowledge of drafting/design software
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Effective written and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with a mentor and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- A Technical school certificate or an associate degree in drafting, or combination of relevant coursework and drafting experience
