Garver has an opening based out of our Tulsa, OK office for a Construction Inspector (5-10 years). We are looking for a motivated professional who enjoys working collaboratively and takes pride in supporting high-quality roadway, bridge, water/wastewater, and aviation projects. In this role, the Construction Inspector serves as a liaison among contractors, engineers, and clients, and supports inspection, observation, and materials testing efforts across a variety of project types.
This position works under the supervision of the Resident Engineer, Project Engineer, or Project Manager assigned to a specific project. The Construction Inspector plays an important role in supporting inspections and documentation to help ensure that projects are built in accordance with project plans and specifications.
Applicants must be capable of considerable physical activity in an outdoor setting, including but not limited to light lifting, bending, stooping and climbing, walking and standing for prolonged periods of time, and regularly operating motor vehicles. As a condition of employment, all applicants must consent to a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle report.

Responsibilities:
- Interpret and understand project plans and specifications while verifying compliance
- Test materials delivered to the project site to ensure compliance with specifications
- Document daily work activities
- Travel is required. Applicants must be willing to accept short-term and long-term out-of-town projects.
- Read and interpret data, information, and documents
- Analyze problems and identify solutions
- Perform highly detailed work across multiple concurrent tasks
- Work effectively under tight deadlines
- Interact professionally with staff, contractors, and the public
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong ability to prioritize and organize
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Working knowledge of ODOT and OTA specifications
- Materials testing experience and relevant certifications
Preferred:
- Familiarity with grading, drainage, sanitary sewer, water distribution systems, concrete/asphalt paving, roadway bridge construction, water/wastewater plants, and site design projects
- OHCMT Materials Sampling and Testing certification
- Site Manager/AASHTOWare application experience
- Computer skills for digital documentation
- Bluebeam experience
- Pipeline inspection experience
- Survey experience
