Garver’s Information Technology Department is looking for an IT Help Desk Intern to join their team in the Austin, TX office.
The IT intern will support the IT Department in the setup and deployment of computers, assisting with the management of IT inventory, assisting with help desk tickets and assisting with other projects as needed. Responsibilities may include:
- Perform computer setups and upgrades
- Work on inventory of computers and equipment
- Create and update tickets in help desk system and projects list
- Troubleshoot computer issues as needed
- Work on preparing old assets for recycling or sale
- Shipping equipment
- Audio/video setup
Requirements:
- Must be actively pursuing a degree in computer science or similar
- Experience with Windows OS
- Experience with Microsoft Office software suite
- Experience working with PC hardware
- Ability to work well both with a team and individually
- Ability to lift equipment and boxes up to 20 lbs.
