Garver's Information Technology department is seeking an experienced Software Developer to develop, maintain and enhance Garver’s applications, databases and external/internal websites. This position will interact with Garver’s Corporate Support and Business Line staff to meet their needs on a variety of projects, including:
- Developing, maintaining, and making enhancements to a variety of software applications.
- Supporting websites as well as applications related to the website, corporate intranet , mobile apps, and internal/external communication.
- Collaborating with a variety of departments on various projects.
- Researching new technologies and ways to improve our current software and processes.
- Supporting daily issues as needed.
- Working on special projects as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in and with teams
- C# or other .NET software development experience
- Proficiency with front-end web development technologies (Javascript/HTML5/CSS)
- SQL Server database experience (or other databases)
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of ASP.NET MVC or ASP.NET Core
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure or another cloud computing environment
- Ability and skills to contribute to the design aspect of projects
- Ability to learn quickly and act independently
- Eager to learn new applications and technologies
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks while working under tight deadlines
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a desire to work in a challenging position
- Team player
- Ability to work well with and provide excellent service to end users.
