Garver's Information Technology department is hiring an Information Security Analyst that may reside in any of Garver’s offices or work remotely. Responsibilities include protecting Garver’s computer network and systems through monitoring for security issues, investigating security breaches and incidents, installing security measures and systems, documenting security procedures and policies, testing the system and network vulnerabilities, fixing vulnerabilities, developing company-wide best practices for IT security, working on projects as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, analyze, assess, and identify Garver’s cybersecurity risks and develop plans to mitigate those risks.
- Utilize threat intelligence to proactively identify potential risks and vulnerabilities that could impact the organization.
- Develop and execute incident response plans and procedures to respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.
- Monitor incoming alerts and events from our Security Operations Center (SOC), analyze their significance, and investigate security incidents.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems, networks, and applications.
- Document security incidents, including their root cause analysis, impact assessment, and actions taken for resolution.
- Prepare and present reports and findings to management and stakeholders regularly.
- Help develop and maintain information security policies and procedures.
- Implement protective measures as required to protect Garver’s infrastructure.
- Respond to and mitigate security breaches and incidents.
- Educate employees and end-users about security best practices, policies, and procedures to enhance overall security awareness within the organization.
- Help develop business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Continue to increase knowledge on the latest information security technologies and practices.
Educational / Professional Experience & Abilities
- 2+ years of professional experience as an Information Security Analyst
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in the work place
- Ability to multi-task in an efficient manner in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well with end-users.
- Ability to collaborate and work well with team members.
- Customer/client service oriented
- Ability to travel to other Garver offices as needed.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SIEM tools and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Experience with vulnerability assessment and penetration tools
- IT infrastructure knowledge of servers and networking
- Experience with firewall policies
