Garver is hiring an entry-level Graphic Designer to join our Transportation Strategic Communications team to support in visually translating ideas and messaging into a variety of deliverables. This position will be located in Overland Park, KS.
The successful candidate must be creative and have the ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities. A strong sense of teamwork and know how to prioritize duties to meet deadlines are required.
This is a fast-paced role with varying day-to-day responsibilities, giving you the chance to be creative in delivering messages and imagery in tasks such as:
- Designing visual assets that enhance clarity and professionalism in business communications, including reports, presentations, and internal and external strategic messaging
- Creating graphics for web and print collateral that align with brand standards
- Building vector Illustrations, such as infographics and project maps
- Developing, conceptualizing, and collaboratively working with the team to create visually appealing content
- Photo-editing
- Coordinating production of materials, copyediting/drafting written materials, and producing reports
- Offering creative ideas, process improvements, and technological solutions to expand the team’s abilities

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field (ie graphic design, media arts, visual communication, etc.)
- Proficient user of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator), specifically on Microsoft Windows operating system
- Strong written, graphical, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage work, problem solve, and execute tasks on schedule
- Ability to work as a member of a team in a collaborative environment.
- Comfortable working and speaking with employees in different departments across the organization.
- Excellent attention to detail – particularly in incorporating feedback and edits from multiple team members
- 0-1 years of work history in a corporate environment
- Advanced understanding of MS Office software including Word and PowerPoint
