Garver is seeking an Environmental Specialist to provide assistance with the preparation of planning and environmental studies and NEPA documentation for various infrastructure projects across multiple business lines in either our established Frisco, TX or Fort Worth, TX office.

- Collect and analyze social, economic and environmental data to be used in developing alternatives and in assessing potential impacts of proposed actions.
- Perform wetland delineations and prepare USACE permits and approvals.
- Review and apply procedures for compliance with environmental regulations under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
- Prepare technical reports, planning studies, and NEPA documents.
The Environmental Specialist will also create and implement public involvement activities, including developing public involvement plans, creating materials for communicating project information to the public, and participating in public and stakeholder meetings.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a field related to planning or the environmental sciences.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with planning and/or project development under NEPA, particularly with regards to natural resources and/or transportation projects.
- Excellent communication skills and able to work on a collaborative team, both internally and externally, in both leadership and support roles.
- Proficiency in technical writing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Skills
- Established knowledge of State and Federal environmental regulations and guidelines.
- Able to work in office environment with some travel and field work required.
- Availability for up to 50% overnight travel.
- Proficiency with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analysis and mapping.
