Garver is seeking a Project Engineer in Fayetteville, Rogers, Conway, or North Little Rock, Arkansas to join our Arkansas Water team. The Project Engineer will be led by a Project Manager on a team consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and technicians focused on the production of deliverables including but not limited to reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans, sections, details and specifications. The Project Engineer must be capable of working closely with clients to ensure their expectations of service are exceeded.
This position will be responsible for performing design for a variety of projects, such as:
- Water distribution including pumping and storage
- Sewer collection, pumping and lift stations
- Coordination with State and Regulatory Agencies

Qualified candidates must be capable of performing the following routine functions:
- Consistently produce high-quality work products
- Efficiently execute workload to maintain project schedule and project financials
- Display technical competency of water / wastewater engineering and civil engineering commensurate with experience level in the profession
- Contribute to multiple projects concurrently
- Be responsible for time management and work product quality
- Complete assigned scope items within the allotted budget and schedule
- Conduct written and oral project reporting for project managers, regional team client service managers. Reporting will include project status, upcoming milestones, project accounting, percent completes, progress reports, etc.
- Contribute to preparation and execution of Project Management Plans and Quality Control Plans
- Support internal and external project workshops
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental engineering, chemical engineering, or biological engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or ability to become registered within six months of start of employment
- Two or more years of previous experience related to design of municipal water/wastewater conveyance and treatment systems
- Strong communications skills
- Ability to work independently with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Outlook
Preferred Skills:
- Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to be licensed within 6 months.
- Construction management experience of municipal water/wastewater projects
- Master’s degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program
- AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS experience
