- Supervise and support a team of engineers and project managers.
- Provide technical guidance and review for modeling, planning, data analysis and infrastructure evaluation projects.
- Monitor workload and assign project responsibilities to ensure appropriate staff utilization.
- Support the development of scopes, schedules, budgets, and staffing plans for planning-phase projects.
- Ensure high-quality and timely delivery of water, wastewater and stormwater master plans, hydraulic models, and design support studies.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing, mentoring, and technical training opportunities for team members.
- Coordinate across departments to support seamless transitions from planning to design phases.
- Contribute to the preparation and quality control of proposals and planning deliverables.
- Review project metrics (budget, schedule, performance) and provide updates to leadership on a routine basis.
- Participate in internal quality assurance reviews and support the implementation of best practices.
- Identify resource needs, support recruitment or onboarding of new team members and support overall team development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or a related field of study from an ABET-accredited program.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in water/wastewater/stormwater infrastructure planning, including at least 2 years in master planning or hydraulic modeling.
- At least 2 years of experience mentoring and/or supervising engineering or technical staff.
- Strong understanding of water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater system planning and modeling.
- Familiarity with a range of hydraulic modeling software, including Autodesk InfoWater Pro and InfoWorks ICM, Bentley WaterGEMS and SewerGEMS, and others.
- Working knowledge of infrastructure design and capital improvement planning principles.
- Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficient in managing multiple projects and deadlines with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Ability to interpret, review, and contribute to scopes of work, proposals, and technical reports.
- Skilled in performance management, feedback, and mentoring of staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to client satisfaction.
