Internship Description:
- Assist with design and management of water and sewer infrastructure projects. Projects include water distribution pipelines; water booster pump stations; water storage tanks; sewer collection pipelines; and sewer pump stations.
- Other tasks as needed to support Water Design Center teams and regional engineering teams.
- Position will include construction observation and time outside on active construction sites.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 0-1 years of related experience
- Passed the FE exam, or ability to do so within 6 months of hire
Preferred skills:
- Microsoft office suite experience; AutoCAD; ArcGIS/ESRI
- Working knowledge of presentation software such as MS PowerPoint or Keynote
- Strong communication skills and public speaking ability
- similar experience in the water/wastewater utilities market with a focus on linear assets, storage, and pumping for water distribution and wastewater collection systems
