The Value of a Trust-Based Relationship

In just three years, we'll be celebrating the completion of Garver's first century of doing business. This company has seen a lot of changes in the industry since we began in 1919, but there's at least one thing that hasn't changed—the value of a long-term trust-based relationship. At Garver, we rely on these types of relationships in everything we do, and with everyone we do it with. We strive every day to honor the relationships we've built with our clients, the relationships we've built with our coworkers, and the relationships we've built with the industry as a whole.

Another set of honorable relationships we've strengthened lately are our relationships with academic institutions. These institutions provide future engineers with the skillset they'll need when they enter the workforce, which is another way of saying we trust these institutions with the future of our company, because the students sitting in classrooms today will one day join us in building the infrastructure we'll depend on tomorrow. We want them to have access to the best resources available in the industry today, which is why we recently gave the University of Arkansas College of Engineering $250,000 to build a Civil Engineering Research and Education Center (CEREC).

Garver's gift will go toward providing students with the hands-on experience they'll need to better understand the fundamentals of structural engineering. And while doing so, it strengthens a relationship we've come to depend on for our future success.

Dan Williams, President and Chief Executive Officer
