Garver gathers in Huntsville, Alabama for Summit 2018
Each year, employees from across the Garver footprint gather in one location to celebrate another successful year while looking toward what will be accomplished next.
This year, more than 300 employees based in 26 offices across the country gathered in Huntsville, Alabama for Garver Summit 2018. The event included three days of company meetings, professional development sessions, awards presentations, and an afternoon of excursions through a community that has been connected to Garver for more than three decades. From its Huntsville office, Garver provides clients with innovative solutions for aviation, construction services, transportation, and water projects.
The Summit excursions allowed some Garver employees to help valuable community organizations, such as Free 2 Teach, which provides free resources to area teachers, and Manna House, a local food assistance organization; others to see some of the area’s most recognizable attractions, such as the U.S. Space & Rocket Center and the Huntsville Museum of Art; and others went hiking, paddle boarding, rowing, and trail running through the state’s most desirable natural attractions.
The stay in Huntsville was completed at the Von Braun Center, with presentations that touched on service line advancements, announcements of employee awards, and plans for 2019.
In an address to employees, President and CEO Dan Williams highlighted some of Garver’s top achievements over the last year, including a first-of-its-kind intern event, growing service lines, an expanded workplace wellness effort, and a $30,000 donation to a children’s hospital in northwest Arkansas.
“The investment this company makes in you will yield results based on each of your passions,” Williams said. “We’ve found that if we make an investment into you, you’ll turn around and invest that into your projects, and into your clients, and into each other.”
