Garver EWeek Recruitment Campaign Awarded National Silver Anvil Award
Garver’s in-house Communications Team was recently honored with a national Silver Anvil Award for the firm’s Engineers Week (EWeek) recruitment campaign.
The Silver Anvil Awards, presented by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), recognizes the best strategic public relations campaigns of the year and is regarded as one of the most prestigious honors in the communications industry. The 2025 ceremony was held in May in New York City and celebrated national public relations firms and renowned brands, including McDonald’s, State Farm, Colgate, and Aflac. This year’s competition drew 754 entries spanning a wide range of categories, budgets, and company sizes, reflecting the high level of innovation and excellence needed to procure an award. Nationally, only 45 campaigns earned Silver Anvil Awards.

To combat a national shortage of engineering graduates, Garver leveraged Engineers Week (EWeek) to tackle the talent gap and raise awareness of the industry — by recruiting 4th graders! During EWeek, engineers from Garver visited elementary schools across the U.S. to spark an interest in engineering through interactive, STEM-focused activities.
Garver’s Communications Team executed a dynamic, multi-faceted PR campaign showcasing the firm’s engineers and philanthropic efforts, while also underscoring the importance of cultivating future engineers. The campaign achieved widespread impact and garnered extensive earned media coverage during a one-week timeframe, including multiple in-studio TV interviews featuring engineers from Garver.
This honor follows Garver’s 2020 Silver Anvil Award of Excellence, earned for its Centennial Campaign and the Garver Chain Reaction Challenge. Over the years, the Communications Team has amassed other notable industry awards, including the Society for Marketing Professional Services’ National Marketing Communications Awards, the Zweig Group’s Marketing Excellence Awards, and the Arkansas Chapter of PRSA’s Prism Awards.
