Williams named finalist for Executive of the Year Award
Since taking over leadership of Garver in 2012, Chief Executive Officer Dan Williams has led the company through an unprecedented period of growth. Garver has opened 15 new offices under Williams' leadership, and now has nearly 600 employees spread across 11 states, all while emphasizing support of STEM education and receiving annual accolades for workplace culture.
Williams, who has been with Garver for more than 36 years, has been named a finalist for the Business Executive of the Year Award presented by Arkansas Business. Based on nominations from readers and selections made by a panel of judges, the award recognizes the best and brightest in the state’s business community.
The winner will be announced at a banquet in Little Rock on March 6.
“The thing I’m most pleased with is the recognition of Garver’s culture,” Williams told the magazine. “Our employees and staff are just convinced that we care about them, and we do.
“People work hard because they care about the company and about each other. It was already baked into our culture when I came here in 1982.”
During Williams' time leading Garver, the company has been named as a best firm to work for in the multi-discipline category five consecutive years by the Zweig Group, and corporate-giving arm GarverGives, launched in 2015, has contributed more than $300,000 to charitable organizations across the country.
