White named to ENR Texas & Louisiana’s Top Young Professionals

This year’s entrants were judged by three criteria – industry experience and education; career and industry leadership; and community service and involvement – all of which White has no shortage of.

“It’s no surprise to see Adam appear on this list,” said Director of Aviation Frank McIllwain, PE. “Not only is he a stellar engineer and respected leader, he’s also among the most community-minded individuals we have at Garver.”

In his work overseeing Garver’s Aviation Design Center, the first of its kind in the region, he coordinates the efforts of aviation experts and has managed the design of over $500 million in projects nationwide – serving major airports across the country like Nashville International and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International.

But while White has long distinguished himself as an aviation engineer – a fact confirmed beyond question by the fact that, at just 34, he serves as Garver’s Aviation Operations Manager – what truly sets him apart is the service he’s done for his community.

In recent years, White has become a leader in GarverGives, the firm’s corporate giving program. In just one example, White rallied Garver employees for an event that raised $10,000 of a total $30,000 donation to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital for its new pediatric center in Fayetteville. Thanks in part to the donation he coordinated, many families across the region no longer have to travel to Central Arkansas to seek treatment for their children.

“When you serve a community, you serve all aspects of a community,” White said. “As engineers, we create the physical connections that bring people closer together. As people, we’re serving on a more intimate level, creating connections on a smaller, though no less significant scale.”
