Mach completes Leadership for Engineers course

Garver Oklahoma Water Team Leader Mary Elizabeth Mach has completed the Leadership for Engineers course hosted by the American Council of Engineering Companies of Oklahoma.

Mary Elizabeth was one of 15 engineers to finish the class, which was held over six half-day sessions that discussed 10 topics designed to continue development of future engineering leaders. 

The topics included discussions on accounting, strategic planning, ethics, community involvement, and business development.

“In engineering, great emphasis is on the technical aspects of our work; however, effective leadership requires one to also develop other skills and ideas that are vital for a successful team,” Mary Elizabeth said. “This program took me to areas I had not yet experienced in engineering, which will benefit me as I continue in my career.”
