Engineers Week, or EWeek, is a celebration of engineers and the influence they have on our world. Not only that, but it’s a rallying cry to address the pressing need for engineers as our country faces an ongoing shortage of engineering graduates.
To commemorate the week, engineers from Garver are visiting elementary schools across the country to show students just how fun it is to be an engineer and build the roads, bridges, runways, and water systems our communities rely on. The future of the engineering industry hinges on the next generation, so it’s crucial that we do our part to cultivate the engineers of tomorrow. What better time to do so than EWeek?
GarverGives, our corporate giving program with a focus in STEM education, is connecting Garver experts from across the country to local elementary schools to share with students what engineers do, why it’s super cool, and why they should consider it as a potential career path. As students begin selecting math and science courses in middle school and begin making early career decisions, our goal is to provide early career exposure and inspire students to consider an eventual career in engineering.

Join in on the fun by downloading our activity sheets and organizing an engineering activity with your elementary students! We’d love to see all the exciting things you’re doing with your classrooms, so be sure to share on social with #GarverEWeek. Happy EWeek!
