Statistical Models for Pipeline Condition and Rehabilitation

PRESENTER: Randy McIntyre, PE, BCEE; Water Technology Director

Typical approaches and methods to determine the life expectancy of gravity and pressure pipelines come from various tables and literature values. The Linear Extended Yule Process (LEYP) statistical model and GomptiZ model can be used to evaluate the condition and LOF of pressure and gravity pipelines. This presentation covers how to use previous inspection and maintenance data along with varying environmental factors to define effective useful life of water and sewer pipelines and develop a capital renewal program.
