About

GarverGives

Impacting communities.

Employees at Garver have always had a passion for bettering their communities through various philanthropic activities that vary greatly in mission and reach. That’s why in 2015, we unified our employees’ achievements by designing a program that focuses on uplifting our three constituents—our communities, our clients, and our employees.

These efforts led to Garver earning the 2016 Smart Corporate Giving Award from the Arkansas Community Foundation, which recognizes outstanding commitment to community service through corporate giving, community leaders, and employee volunteerism.

A New Leaf

A New Leaf

Tulsa, Oklahoma

The GarverGives committee in Tulsa, Oklahoma chose to center their efforts on A New Leaf, a charity in Broken Arrow that provides the developmentally disabled with life skills and job training. First, Tulsa employees participated in a drive to raise money after the organization was vandalized. Then, Garver held a pancake breakfast. The breakfast raised $2,000 by selling tickets at $10 each, which was matched by GarverGives.

With more than 40 hands-on activities, Garver employees donated time to assist with the set up and production of the event, while also hosting a “Garverville” exhibit that consisted of various buildings made out of Legos. In the last two years, GarverGives has contributed $4,500 in grants to the Museum.
