New ARFF Facility
Though the economic times have been tough, Garver weathered the storm well and its 10 different service markets have continued their period of growth. Not the least of which is Garver's Facilities Design Team, which has recently added two more architects to its staff.
Garver's Facilities Design Team has historically focused on federal projects, but has now expanded to provide building design expertise for clients in the federal, public and private sectors.
"Our niche at Garver is to bring all aspects of building design to the table," said Facilities Design Director John Watkins. "Our team is as multi-disciplined as they come. We provide civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and architectural design for a wide variety of project types and clients."
"Continuing to add to our already talented and experienced team brings together an even larger collection of diverse project experiences, which benefits the work we're doing at Garver," said Director of Architecture Greg Archer.
Pictured: Garver provided design services for this design-build project of a new aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) facility and airfield improvements to support training and operations for the new T-6 aircraft at the Goliad Out-Lying Field NAS Corpus Christi. The 9,900-square-feet facility, certified LEED Gold with the U.S. Green Building Council, features a three-bay 5,500-square-feet apparatus building for the firefighting vehicles and equipment and a 4,400-square-feet residential/office wing for the six-man crew manning the facility.
