Major Road Project

Huntsville, Alabama recently annexed nearly 13,000 acres of neighboring Limestone County into the city to accommodate for westward growth. Garver worked closely with Huntsville during the development of the city's master plan to identify future roadway infrastructure needs for the newly annexed land.

Holladay Boulevard, which opened to traffic in April, is the master plan's first major road project to be completed in Limestone County. The 1.5-mile long, five-lane boulevard provides a north-south connector road between Huntsville-Browns Ferry Road to U.S. Highway 72.

"This road has opened more than 500 acres of land to development," said Garver Project Manager Scott Leach. "It's the first important step toward achieving the goals of the master plan: creating a vibrant family friendly community, creating jobs and increasing tax revenues, and creating a resilient and flexible framework for growth."
