For 100 years, communities have trusted Garver to help improve their necessary infrastructure, building on a legacy started by our founder, Neal Garver, way back in 1919.
Our dedication to quality service is never going to change, even as we grow into new markets and expand our service offerings. But we’re definitely in for an exciting 2019 — our centennial year — because we know not many companies get to have such a celebration. We’re kicking that off by connecting with those who have been the most integral in our growth — our clients, and our communities. Throughout the year, we’ll be hosting a series of client appreciation events across the Garver footprint. In addition, we’re providing STEM kits and financial donations to 100 schools and encouraging students to make their own Rube Goldberg-style chain reaction contraptions, as they begin their path to becoming future engineers.
We’ve also begun our leadership transition process, with Brock Hoskins taking over as president while I spend 2019 as chief executive officer before retiring at the end of the year. I couldn’t be more proud of how Garver has evolved from when I got here in 1982, to where we are now, with nearly 600 employees in 28 offices. And I know Brock, who I first met when he was a Garver intern, is the perfect choice to lead us into our second century.
So, follow along as we take this year to celebrate how a series of events that began a century ago continues to impact our clients, our employees, and our communities.
