US 64 over Cedar Creek

Comprehensive improvements

The US-64 over Cedar Creek bridge provides a main connection into the City of Cleveland, Oklahoma The location of the bridge as well as surrounding topography provided for a challenge in the Garver provided preliminary engineering, environmental documents, and preparation of complete detailed final construction plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) for a new U.S. Highway over Cedar Creek west of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Roadway improvements included detailed construction plans that included grading, drainage, surfacing, erosion control, and permanent and temporary traffic control to construct two 12-foot driving lanes and 10-foot paved shoulders. The bridge was constructed in two phases in order to maintain two lanes of traffic during construction. Garver also provided services for hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) calculations and highway signage and pavement marking.
