Garver’s four Water Design Centers (WDC) each employ an integrated, multi-discipline team of engineers dedicated solely to water and wastewater projects, delivering highly creative and coordinated services for efficient project delivery.
These WDCs were created to bring together every unique discipline necessary to design custom solutions for water and wastewater treatment facilities and related infrastructure, including civil, environmental, process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, construction, applications, and operations. Having a focused team with in-person collaboration using the latest 3D and 4D BIM software leads to more efficient delivery, shorter design schedules, and lower change order percentages.
Our Harlingen WDC serves as a Water Infrastructure Design Center (WIDC). This team is focused on developing pipeline designs while working in coordination with regional teams to deliver client goals related to infrastructure. They provide the resources needed to execute infrastructure designs in a cost-effective manner.
Each WDC is strategically located for increased coordination and efficiency. These WDCs designate key staff that are experts in their field and capable of navigating any water or wastewater project. Their support increases coordination and efficiency, allowing Garver to cost-effectively deliver small and large projects.
Garver's utilization of 3D design and modeling enabled the utility to accurately communicate to the stakeholders exactly what would be delivered. The accuracy and design detail were enhanced by full-time project management during construction and start-up. In our opinion, the project delivers the best public water available in the State of Alabama.Jack Malone Plant Superintendent, Tuscumbia Utilities Board
3D LIDAR Scanning and Mapping
Surveyors use 3D mapping to gather data that can be used to create a visual model. Having a model at your fingertips eliminates the need for multiple site visits and keeps all parties on the same page. Clients get a better product at a lower cost.
