Garver Centennial Campaign Awarded Silver Anvil Award of Excellence
The centennial celebrations continue as Garver’s Communications Team was awarded a national Silver Anvil Award of Excellence for the firm’s Centennial Campaign and the Garver Chain Reaction Challenge.
The Silver Anvil Awards, presented by Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), honors outstanding strategic public relations programs and are regarded as one of the most iconic and prestigious awards in the communications industry. Originally scheduled to be held in June in New York City, Garver’s award was announced during PRSA’s ICON 2020 virtual international conference today. Among the honorees were national public relations firms, as well as iconic brands, including American Airlines, LinkedIn, Mercedes-Benz, Hilton, and UPS.
The Chain Reaction Challenge was a year-long initiative celebrating the firm’s centennial year in 2019. Garver donated funds and STEM kits to 100 schools across the country, encouraging students to build imaginative, Rube-Goldberg-style chain reaction machines for the chance to win additional funds for their STEM programs. The firm also held local events in which students could build alongside engineers from Garver. Over the course of the year, an estimated 14,000 students were impacted through the firm’s outreach.

This national award is a testament to the world-class caliber of the work our team produces.”

Now with 15 members, the Communications Team functions as an in-house advertising agency for the firm, providing internal and external services ranging from public relations and social media strategy to graphic design and videography.
