McIntyre named to Business North Carolina Trailblazers 2024 class
For nearly two decades, Rob McIntyre, PE, has served North Carolina as a water engineering expert, helping shape the water and wastewater infrastructure that delivers the state’s most vital resource — safe and reliable water. His impact extends far beyond his technical expertise; he’s deeply committed to the wellbeing of the region and its communities. McIntyre is an active community member, devoted to the success of his home state through involvement in various community committees and commissions.
In recognition of these efforts, Business North Carolina recently named McIntyre to its 2024 class of Trailblazers, which recognizes leaders making a positive impact in their professional and personal lives.
At just 38 years old, McIntyre’s dedication to creating positive change has already been felt across North Carolina. His extensive background in civil engineering and project management, along with his deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the Carolinas, have positioned him to lead major infrastructure initiatives throughout the state.
Not only is he contributing to North Carolina’s infrastructure, but McIntyre is also passionate about giving back to his community. He serves on the City of Albemarle’s Planning and Zoning Board and enjoys coaching youth sports. In addition, he served on the City of Albemarle Historic Resources Commission, the Stanly Atrium Health Foundation Board, and the Stanly Community College Foundation Board, where he assisted with scholarship application reviews and fundraising events.
With his expertise, leadership, and dedication to both his profession and community, McIntyre is blazing a trail in the Carolinas.
