Garver shows Houston how we rodeo – Summit 2025
Houston is known for its Texas-sized rodeo and vibrant downtown atmosphere, making it a perfect location for the 15th annual Garver Summit. Over 1,200 Garver employees traveled to H-town from nearly 61 offices across the country — the firm’s largest gathering to date.
But it wasn’t Garver’s first rodeo, and it certainly won’t be the last.
At Garver, we believe in investing in our employees the same way we invest in our clients – because the two go hand in hand. When we take care of our people, it elevates the caliber of our services. And when our clients feel taken care of, we form stronger partnerships that present growth opportunities.
Summit is a literal investment in gathering and recognizing these relationships. By bringing every employee to one location, we set the table to share ideas, foster connections, and grow together. But it isn’t all business. It’s a celebration of our people, and a renewal of all the reasons Garver is a Best Firm to Work For in the AEC industry.
We celebrated individuals and teams nominated for the Spirit of Garver and Garvy awards; we took over downtown Houston at the Midway event, highlighted by food trucks with fair food, carnival games, horse wagon rides, bumper boats, armadillo races, a live longhorn, and a zipline; our Wellness Program hosted a fun run and yoga session; our corporate giving program, GarverGives, held a meal packing event for Kids’ Meals, a nonprofit ensuring preschool children across the greater Houston area have access to free, healthy meals; and we gathered for team meetings to share accomplishments and recognize individuals going above and beyond for Garver.
It may sound like a lot. And it is. But every single second is worth it.
This sense of connectedness we see at Summit stems from our people-first commitment, one that drives Garver’s culture forward daily. By hiring the best people and investing in them, Garver isn’t just supporting an award-winning company culture; we're driving innovative solutions, unique services, and generating greater value for our clients.
Our team's efforts continue to raise the bar in our industry - like Garver’s Office of the Year – Tulsa, or 2025 Best Team recipient – Garver’s West Region Bridge Team. And the friendly competition created by our annual awards ceremony drives complex solutions and award-winning work every day at Garver.
These connections have allowed Garver to more than double our headcount in the last five years, and Garver leadership unveiled a new strategic plan at Summit that will steer and support the firm's growth over the next five years.
When we staff our teams with the right people, we’re ready to act on ambitious goals and go above and beyond for our clients. Our most important asset is our people. It always has been, and it always will be.
