Mott Named to Arkansas Money & Politics Fifty Over 50

Director of Field Services Earl Mott, PE, has been named to Arkansas Money & Politics’ prestigious Fifty Over 50 list. The honor recognizes leaders whose careers reflect decades of service, dedication, and meaningful impact across the state — a description that fits Mott perfectly.

A Little Rock native and University of Arkansas alum, Mott’s connection to Garver began long before he ever joined the firm. Growing up, he watched his father serve on Garver’s Survey Team and worked alongside him during the summers. That early exposure helped shape a path that would become Mott’s own 35-plus-year career with the company.

After graduating from the University of Arkansas, Mott joined Garver’s Aviation Team. His expertise, work ethic, and collaborative leadership quickly distinguished him, eventually earning him a role on Garver’s Management Committee in 2022 as Director of Field Services.

For more than three decades, Mott has played a pivotal role in designing, constructing, and overseeing infrastructure that keeps Arkansans connected. His experience spans a variety of project types and his influence is evident across the state. He has delivered 36 construction projects for ARDOT’s Connecting Arkansas Program, led the historic 30 Crossing project — the largest undertaking in ARDOT’s history — and provided construction support for Clinton National Airport along with a wide range of other transportation improvements statewide.

Currently, Mott’s team is partnering with Smith Seckman Reid and TY Lin on one of the region’s most significant upcoming infrastructure efforts: replacing the I-55 Mississippi River Bridge connecting Arkansas and Tennessee at Memphis. The new 1,400-foot structure — a joint effort of the Tennessee Department of Transportation and ARDOT — will serve millions of travelers and reinforce a critical national transportation corridor.

Named Director of Field Services in 2010, Mott now leads Garver’s construction engineering, inspection, and survey practices. His guidance shapes not only the work his teams deliver but also the next generation of engineers and field professionals across the company.

His influence extends companywide as well — Mott is a Senior Vice President and a member of Garver’s Management Committee, helping steer the long-term vision and strategy of the firm.

Outside the office, Mott is known for his generosity, humility, and steadfast commitment to his family.

Whether guiding complex infrastructure projects or mentoring young engineers, Mott exemplifies leadership anchored in service, character, and technical excellence. His inclusion in Arkansas Money & Politics’ Fifty Over 50 list highlights not just a lifetime of hard work, but a career spent building a better, more connected Arkansas.
