Garver welcomes Andrea Goodpasture as Financial/Business Planning Leader for airport clients

Andrea Goodpasture

Garver is excited to announce the addition of Andrea Goodpasture,CM, as Financial/Business Planning Leader for airport clients. Goodpasture brings over 25 years of experience in airline operations and airport affairs and will be based in Garver’s Frisco office where she’ll focus on developing a portfolio of airport clients and providing business and financial services. Goodpasture’s work will include translating capital programs into airline rates and charges, assisting airports with budgeting, and supporting negotiations with carriers.

Born and raised in Maryland, Goodpasture discovered her passion for aviation during her undergraduate studies when a professor suggested she pursue a career with Southwest Airlines. She joined the company just six months after graduation. What began in 2000 as a marketing role serving the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions evolved into a distinguished career spanning 25 years.

Goodpasture’s journey at Southwest included roles in Marketing, where she analyzed traffic and revenue trends, and later in Airport Affairs, a department she calls “home.” Starting as a properties manager, she advanced through leadership positions before becoming Managing Director of Airport Affairs in 2022. In this role, she led a team responsible for negotiating airport leases, developing strategies for lease acquisition, and managing relationships across Southwest’s extensive airport network. Her work directly supported the airline’s commercial and operational plans, including capital programs and cost methodologies.

“Goodpasture brings a unique perspective and will draw on her extensive background with a major U.S. carrier to help our airports tackle complex challenges,” said Nathan Polsgrove, AAE, IAP, ACE, Aviation Planning Director. “She not only will help us strengthen relationships but also create shared value for both airports and airlines. She’s skilled at problem-solving and finding solutions that work for everyone. We couldn’t be happier to have her at Garver.”

Goodpasture joined Garver for several reasons. “First of all, it was a perfect match for the skills I’ve built over the years,” she said. “Southwest works closely with Garver, so I knew of its reputation for excellence.” She also knew of Garver’s reputation for affording its employees the autonomy to forge their own paths and was excited about the prospect of building something new and doing something different.

Culture was another key factor in Goodpasture’s decision to join Garver. “To leave a culture like the one I had, which was people-centric and family oriented, I needed to feel very comfortable that I was moving to a place that shared the same values,” she said. Garver’s emphasis on work-life balance and community engagement through GarverGives also resonated with her. She and her 16-year-old son are both passionate about service and together regularly volunteer with multiple organizations including the North Dallas chapter of Young Men’s Service League (YMSL), Buddy Up Tennis, and Bed Start.

Goodpasture holds a Bachelor of Arts from McDaniel College and an MBA from the University of North Texas, and she is a Certified Member (C.M.) of the Association of American Airport Executives (AAAE).
