Garver expands into Florida

With the recent addition of South Florida Aviation Leader John Carrigan and Tampa Aviation Leader Matt Serynek, a pair of aviation industry professionals who together bring more than four decades of experience delivering innovative infrastructure solutions all across Florida, Garver is establishing a presence in The Sunshine State.

At the heart of this new market expansion are the sophisticated design solutions that Garver has long offered to airports of all sizes. From the smallest general aviation airports to the largest air carriers across the nation. Garver’s Aviation Team has spent the last 60 years focused on designing runways and terminal facilities, rehabilitating taxiways, and updating lighting systems to maximize project functionality, funding, and scheduling.

Carrigan

“John and Matt have a long, successful track record in Florida aviation,” said Garver’s Director of Aviation Frank McIllwain, PE. “Their experience coupled with Garver’s innovation, efficiency, and client-focused approach makes for a truly winning combination.”

With more than 20 years of engineering consulting experience in the aviation industry, Carrigan has spent his career developing aviation infrastructure through innovative designs and solutions across the United States – and across the globe.

“I’m pleased to have this opportunity with a true-aviation firm like Garver,” Carrigan said. “Simply put, there are no firms in Florida that are taking this approach. For this reason alone, Garver’s entry into the market has the potential to be a game-changer.”

Having worked on projects that include airport terminal expansions, airport roadway canopies, multistory parking garages, and airfield improvements at airports nationwide, Carrigan’s wide-ranging expertise and global perspective will make him a key part of Garver’s growing aviation footprint.

Serynek

For nearly two decades, Serynek has developed innovative infrastructure solutions at airports across the world, providing engineering design, planning, permitting, construction administration and inspection, and airport extension of staff services at both commercial service and general aviation airports.

“I’ve dedicated my career to helping airports visualize and implement their best future,” Serynek said. “And now with Garver, I couldn’t be happier to be doing so backed by a deep roster of aviation-dedicated experts to the benefit of my home state.”
