Garver is excited to announce the addition of Matthew Goette, PE, as Transportation Team Leader based in its Franklin, Tennessee office. By welcoming Goette to the team, Garver continues to deepen its roots in the state, reinforcing a long-standing commitment to delivering innovative infrastructure solutions to Tennessee communities.

Garver’s history in Tennessee is one of steady growth and lasting partnerships. For nearly 35 years, Garver has worked alongside communities and agencies across the state, helping to shape the transportation networks that connect people and drive economic development. In his role, Goette will lead Garver’s transportation practice in the state, while partnering with agencies and municipalities to solve their most pressing infrastructure challenges.

“With his proven experience improving transportation networks in the state, Matthew brings valuable expertise to help Garver strengthen our commitment in Tennessee,” said John Cantabery, PE, Garver’s South Central Region Transportation Director. “This state has been a large part of Garver’s history over the last three decades, and we’re ready to invest even more in Tennessee and its communities.”

With almost 20 years of experience working in the state, Goette brings a deep understanding of its transportation infrastructure needs and strong relationships with local and state agencies.

“I’m excited to join Garver and to continue its tradition of having a positive impact in Tennessee,” said Goette. “This is a state I know well and care deeply about. I look forward to building a team that delivers innovative, client-focused solutions that keep our communities thriving.”

With a background in traffic engineering, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) design, and roadway design, Goette will provide Garver’s full suite of transportation services to DOT and municipal clients across the state. His role will include team building, client development, and project delivery—ensuring that Tennessee clients benefit from both local expertise and access to Garver’s national network of experts in bridge, highway, traffic, hydrology and hydraulics, environmental services, and more.

Goette holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is a licensed Professional Engineer in both Tennessee and Georgia.

“Tennessee has been a great partner to Garver, and we look forward to continuing that partnership for many years to come,” said Garver Director of Transportation Brent Schniers, PE. “We’re excited to have Matthew join our team as he works to help us continue to meet the evolving needs of the state.”
