Holder named to Good Roads Foundation Executive Board
Garver Director of Enterprise Solutions Jerry Holder, PE, has been named to the Executive Board of the Arkansas Good Roads Foundation, a position from which he'll continue to support the advancement of infrastructure in the state where Garver was founded more than a century ago.
Holder has spent almost four decades delivering infrastructure solutions across the country, including almost two decades in his home state. He served as Garver’s Director of Transportation from 2012-2022 and now serves as Director of Enterprise Solutions, which offers tools and services to streamline and more efficiently execute project processes from the planning stages all the way through construction.
“I’m proud to serve on the board because I know how important Arkansas Good Roads is to infrastructure development across the state,” Holder said. “For decades, Good Roads has promoted funding and financing for safe and efficient roadways, and I’m happy to play a role in helping continue that mission.”
The Arkansas Good Roads/Transportation Council was established in 1975 and was re-established as a foundation in 2015. Its purpose is to promote adequate funding and financing for the planning, development, construction, and maintenance of a safe and efficient highway, street, road, and bridge system, including transportation enhancements. The work increases statewide economic growth, private sector job creation and retention, and improves the quality of life in all Arkansas counties, municipalities, and communities.
“The Good Roads Executive Board is very pleased to welcome Jerry Holder to the board. Jerry’s understanding of the complexity of Arkansas infrastructure issues and his experience at Garver make him the perfect fit for our board," said Good Roads Executive Board President Robert Moery. "For many years Jerry has been a leading voice in the effort to explain why good roads and bridges make driving safer and improve the economy. Good Roads is more engaged in these issues than ever before, and we welcome another strong voice in Jerry.”
