Tromble selected for University of Oklahoma CEES Academy inaugural class

Evan Tromble, PhD, PE

Garver Water Practice Area Teams Manager Evan Tromble, PhD, PE, has been inducted to the inaugural Civil Engineering and Environmental Science (CEES) Academy at the University of Oklahoma (OU). An exclusive honor for alumni and affiliates of CEES whose professional and service contributions distinguish their careers, CEES membership is by invitation only.

A respected subject matter expert in water resources, hydraulics, water conveyance, distribution and collection system modeling, transient analysis, and system master planning, Dr. Tromble oversees national resource teams focused on water resources, hydraulic modeling and system planning, asset management, program management, collaborative project delivery and project implementation, and SCADA automation.

He completed his doctoral degree in civil engineering at OU in 2011, producing a dissertation focused on the development and application of numerical methods to finite element analysis of complex free-surface flow problems. In that same year, he began working at Garver as a Project Engineer on the Oklahoma Water Team. It wasn’t long before he was widely regarded as a technical resource on hydraulic modeling and was promoted to leadership positions, first on Garver’s Water Technology Team, then on the Water Infrastructure – Modeling, Analytics, and Planning (WIMAP) Team, and then to his current position.

Dr. Tromble is a licensed Professional Engineer in ten states. His passion for helping water and wastewater utilities find the right solutions for their unique challenges is one that he shares with younger engineers as a committed mentor.
