Garver announces partnership with The Water Tower

An innovative hub connecting experts with operators, The Water Tower aims to answer a multitude of complex water challenges through research, technology, and public engagement.

In 2022, Garver became a sustaining member of The Water Tower in Atlanta, Georgia, an innovation hub connecting experts with operators. Structurally, The Water Tower is comprised of two 501(c) non-profits. The first, The Water Tower at Gwinnett, focuses on the infrastructure of the innovation hub, overseeing real estate development, and tenant management on campus. The second, The Water Tower Institute, answers a multitude of complex water challenges through a variety of methods, such as research, technology, and public engagement.

The purpose of The Water Tower is to bring experts closer to operators with hands on technology training. This includes three laboratories, which are currently under construction, to provide research space for microbiology, analytical chemistry, and general wet testing.

The Water Tower will also provide key opportunities for career growth and development, including various internships. Additionally, The Water Tower means utilities and authorities have better hands-on access to piloting demonstrations and more comprehensive data collection.

To align with the goals of consulting, academia, and utility industries, The Water Tower identified four key pillars upon which to build its innovation hub – workforce development, public engagement, applied research, and technology innovation.

Additionally, The Water Tower’s mission and objectives directly align with Garver’s own strategic initiatives of being a thought leader and trusted advisor, making joining The Water Tower an obvious and easy choice for Garver.

The Water Tower’s innovation and accessibility will be instrumental to utilities meeting the rising demands of communities across the world. Garver immediately recognized the value this would bring to clients, and jumped at the chance to be part of The Water Tower. This opportunity enhances Garver's ability to connect its nationally-recognized experts with a variety of utilities and authorities, so Garver can play a part in solving the most challenging water and wastewater concerns.
