Significant growth and hangar development at The Colonel James Jabara Airport (AAO) in Wichita, Kansas spurned the need for a taxiway extension as it was identified as a vital asset to future development. The Taxiway A3 extension included design under an accelerated timeline for pavement, drainage, taxiway edge lighting, utility relocation, and security gate relocation, all while maintaining service to adjacent hangars. In addition, Garver utilized its Aviation Planning Team to prepare a preliminary site development plan to evaluate grading, drainage, and utility easements so construction of Taxiway A3 would integrate with future development.
