Recruiting Quality, Not Quantity

In this issue of IQ, you'll find an article about Garver's Construction Services Team. While the article highlights our Runway Status Lighting (RWSL) Project, it's really about how we recruited the right person—Project Manager Brad Butler—who not only matched up with our Garver values and goals, but also those of our Construction Services Team.

The client put their trust in Brad to do a great job for them, which is how they came to put their trust in Garver, allowing us more opportunities to work in places like Baltimore, San Francisco, New York City, and multiple points in between. As our company grows, we know we've got to invest in our recruiting efforts, but it's the quality—not the quantity of the people we recruit that will make the difference.

Our Construction Services Team has done more work this year than we've ever done in the past. To continue that trend, we know we've got to continue expanding our capabilities, just like we did for the RWSL project. But more importantly, we understand the importance of developing trust with our clients. When our clients call Garver, they aren't just calling a company—in a lot of cases, they're calling the Construction Services Team member they trust to get the job done right. That's a hallmark of the service we provide, and it's going to continue to be.
