SR 7 at SR 9W Roundabout

Garver provided design services to implement a high-speed roundabout at the three-way intersection of SR-7 and SR 9W, critical to those traveling to and from the state’s capitol in Jackson and a growing college town in Oxford, Mississippi. The design includes multiple reverse curves, elongated splitter islands, and curb and gutter at the outside edge of the pavement to act as additional traffic calming measures entering the intersection, and also had to accommodate closely spaced local road intersections on each side of the roundabout and future plans to extend SR 9 to an interchange to the west.
